Street Closure that May Affect Sunday Games

Event is Sunday, October 25
Participants Encouraged to Take Public Transportation
(Washington, D.C.) The Marine Corps Marathon will be run this Sunday, October 25, 2008. The race begins at 8 a.m. in Arlington, Virginia, and then crosses the Potomac River into the District. The Metropolitan Police Department and the U.S. Park Police will close numerous streets along the race route in the District between 4 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

October 17, 2009 - 1:39pm — JulieS23Based on the amount of rain we've had the past 3 days, all WAFC fields are closed tomorrow and rec league games canceled. If you'd like to reschedule your game, work with your opponents to find a date/time/field based on the available fields on the schedule online and then email wafcrecgods@yahoogroups.com for approval.

Such actions as taunting opposing players, dangerous aggression, belligerent intimidation, intentional infractions, or other 'win-at-all-costs' behavior are contrary to the Spirit of the Game and must be avoided by all players."
