WHAT YOU GET:
Coed ultimate (offense dictates), 4 games. SNACKS! FUN! SPIRIT! Choice of more or less competitive bracket. Individuals and small groups of players who want to play together will be placed on a team. We're hoping for 16 teams, but will adjust as necessary.
ABOUT THE CHARITY:
The Buzzing for Change Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation that was founded in 2006 to support Buzzing for Change programs at schools around the country. It does this by recruiting new programs, training student leaders to run them, providing start up funds and support systems and coordinating national initiatives. Buzzing for Change programs are one day events with the focus being on participants shaving their heads and/or cutting their hair for Locks of Love, an organization that makes wigs for children who lose their hair due to disease. Those who want to participate, but are not comfortable parting with their hair, are encouraged to volunteer, donate or find a way to participate at their comfort level. Shaving one's head is an act of solidarity toward those who lose their hair due to chemotherapy. Check them out at www.buzzing4change.org . This spring's Buzzing for Change at The George Washington University raised over $18,000 for Special Love, a summer camp for kid's with cancer!
ENTRY FEE & DONATIONS:
TEAMS: $250 for snacks, prizes, and a whole day of fun
INDIVIDUALS: $20/person
GROUPS: $100 for 6 people
Everyone is encouraged to raise additional donations (a donation form is available upon request). Ask colleagues, friends, and family to cover your entry fee. Find the player on your team whose company does corporate matching and have them pay the entry fee.
