Summer Rec League Deputy Commissioner / Commissioner
Matthew Heyward, the current recreational league commissioner, is looking for a deputy commissioner for the upcoming summer league. This individual will assist with the duties of running the rec league this summer, with the hopes of taking over the lead role beginning in the fall. Responsibilities include assigning teams, communicating with captains throughout the season, and organizing the end-of-the-season tournament. The time commitment is obviously greater at the beginning and end of the season but averages about 8 to 10 hours per week. Don't worry about being left on your own, though; Matthew has pledged his continued support to the volunteer who takes over for him, and you will also have the support of other committee heads (i.e. field czar, tournament volunteers, etc.).
