Summer Intermediate League 2010 ________________________________________ Rosters are posted below. The column on the left indicates your team number. The captains are highlighted in yellow. Description: The WAFC Summer Intermediate League is open to any player in the D.C. metro area, although the focus of the league is to be a bridge between the Rec and Pro leagues. A basic understanding of the game and simple strategies is expected. Highly experienced players are welcome, and are encouraged to serve as team captains (or co-captains). Cost: $45 per player; cost includes a jersey ________________________________________ First Official Games: Tuesday, June 15, 2010 End of Season Tournament: Aug 21st & 22nd (All teams will play multiple games on the 21st during pool play, and the 22nd will be elimination rounds) Number of Games: 12ish regular season games, plus the tournament Game Days: Mainly Tuesdays/Thursdays with a possible Friday/Weekend game Location: Throughout the metropolitan area, including downtown D.C.; Arlington/Fairfax, VA; and Montgomery County, MD. Many locations are metro accessible, but not all. Since WAFC has no control over the weather, WAFC cannot guarantee all scheduled games will be played. ________________________________________ Interested in captaining an Intermediate team? A good captain should be able to handle disputes calmly, motivate and teach players, help your team pick a good team name/color, and forward information from the league to players. It helps to have a basic understanding of the fundamentals of Ultimate (including Spirit of the Game), but you don't have to be the best person on the team to be effective. If you're interested, please select "Yes", in the captain field and tell us a little about your experience in the "notes" field. We will make sure you have a co-captain (if you don't have one already)." ________________________________________ Baggage Notes: • Intermediate League baggage trains are capped at TWO people. NO EXEMPTIONS. • Each player in a baggage train must fill out a separate registration form. • Each member of a baggage train will be required to enter the WAFC Username of the other in the baggage train, because this provides confirmation that both people want to baggage together. ________________________________________ IMPORTANT: By joining the WAFC Int League, you agree to abide by all WAFC policies regarding field usage, player conduct, and other league rules. Joining WAFC Int League includes membership in the Washington Area Frisbee Club for the calendar year for when the league takes place. Game times

Any idea what time intermediate games would typically start during the week? 7? 8?

Times for games?

Hey, I was wondering what the general time for games was during the weekdays. I would be driving in from Annapolis and I want to make sure that I would be able to make most of the games if I signed up. Thanks!

~ 6:30pm for the early games,

~ 6:30pm for the early games, on fields with lights there may also be an 8:30pm game.

Baggage username coordination FAIL. Who should I bribe?

So yeah, you know that annoying guy who finalizes his baggage arrangement after one person already submitted their form? Errr.... um... it looks like I'm that guy.

To whom would I owe apologies and/or bribes to sort this out?

When will we know?

Hey all,

When do people usually find out what team their playing for (or if they're even on one)?

Thanks,
Jayce

Yes when will we know?

I was wondering this too. With the first game being less than a week away how do we know what team we are on and where the first game is and times and stuff?

Thanks.
Emily

Rosters

Rostering should be done by tomorrow and you should receive an email from your captain sometime this week. We are working on a schedule and will hopefully have this information for you soon.

Captains have the rosters.

No team

Hi, I registered and paid and everything, but I am not on any roster and haven't heard from a captain. I sent an e-mail with the contact form, but I haven't received a response. What's going on?

Thanks,
Ken

You are on team 18. Sorry,

You are on team 18. Sorry, for the confusion.

Scores/Team Name

We are working on setting up the score reporting section of the website. Probably won't be completed until after the full schedule is released. So, hang on to your scores and come up with some snazzy (yes, I expect snazz) team names and we'll let you know how to post them.

Scores - Who and Where to post them into WAFC.org

How do scores get posted to wafc.org site? Where do we captains post them or do we report them to Bryan?

William Davis

How do I record a score(s) on wafc.org site? Name of Team?

How do I record a score(s) on wafc.org site? Name of Team? Even when I log into the website, I'm unable to record recent scores of game won/lost/tied on the spreadsheet. Also, unable to record team name (though we still haven't decided on one yet).

When do we receive our wafc logo t-shirts?

When are we expecting the t-shirts? I get this question from my teammates and other players. Would like to have an estimate. Thank you.

Back in DC and itching to play

I just started a new job back in the DC area and was hoping to join in on the intermediate action. I've played for 6+ years and have played wafc for a few. Any captains in need of more guys? Micah, you OK with me hopping in? I don't mind joining a hurting team.
