Past Leagues:
Description: The WAFC Summer Corporate League is open to Ultimate teams in the D.C. metro area affiliated by a common employer or alumni of a school. Corporate League is NOT summer Clique League. There are three divisions of varying levels of competitiveness, comprised of self-formed teams.
The teams are listed next to their ID tag below
There are three divisions of Corporate to choose from:
A Division is the most competitive and should include alumni teams or current school teams that play(ed) and practice(d) together, as well as teams with players that have a good amount of playing experience.
B Division is a competitive division that should include players with some ultimate experience and knowledge of the game.
C Division should include teams that are new to ultimate and/or looking for a more laid back game.
Cost: $25 per player, minimum 15 players needed
Start Date: Games will begin the week of June 14th
End of Season Tourney: The tournament will be a single-elimination tournament played on weekday nights beginning
around the first week of August.

Game Dates: Primarily Mondays and Wednesdays with potentially some Fridays. The actual game dates will depend on the registration numbers for each league but all corporate games will be on weeknights.

Game Locations: Throughout the metropolitan area, including downtown and NW DC; Arlington, VA; and Montgomery Co, MD.

Bye & Other requests: Requests for byes, time slots, or field locations should be made in the team registration form. Only requests made here will be considered. Do NOT email your requests to the League Commissioner. Keep in mind, it's impossible to satisfy every request, but we'll do our best.
Since WAFC has no control over the weather, we cannot guarantee all scheduled games will be played.

Corporate team rosters are now available for review online. This report shows a full list of teams and players. Players that are not yet paid will NOT show on this list, so for teams using the consolidated registration process don't panic.
The full list, including all players who haven't paid (yet), is available here. Please read the notes at the top of this report before asking questions about this list as it's a bit more complicated than a simple roster view.
1) Create a team registration and click "Add to Cart"
2) Adjust the quantity of team registrations in the cart to be the total number of players you're paying for
3) Complete payment
4) Have all your players complete a player registration (selecting the right corporate team and agreeing to the WAFC waiver) but make sure they do _NOT_ pay (i.e., they click "Add to Cart" but then cancel out of the payment process)
5) Contact Micah (http://www.wafc.org/user/3/contact) and let him know about the team's lump sum payment

Registration status
Is there a way to see who's registered for which teams so far?
Seriously
Pretty difficult to keep track of who on my corp team has registered, and impossible to nag individuals if I can't identify who the delinquents are...
registering a team
where do I go to register a team?
How many on Corp league Roster?
How many people can be on a roster? Is it $25/person? If you can have 25 people that is $625/team? Is that what WAFC is charging now - previous years it's been $300/team. I understand the field cost increases, but is more than double the cost required to cover these? Just wondering, as we are a HS team and $25 seems steep.
The roster cap is supposed to
The roster cap is supposed to be 25, no one is going to give you a hard time about that though, unless you're brining 35 club players to the tournament.
Yes, for years the corporate league was one of the best Ultimate deals in the country, same as clique league. Due to a number of changes, most notably the field cost increases around DC, the club had to reassess league fees and raise them across the board. The biggest increase is to corporate (and clique in the spring and fall) because many of those players paid only a few dollars in previous years.
$25 for about eight games (2 hours per game = 16 hours) plus a full tournament (about 8 more hours) works out to a cost of about $1/hour for an organized sporting event on permitted fields. While $25 is a fair amount of money it's also the lowest possible amount WAFC can charge and still cover field costs this season. In fact, corporate teams are getting a break because while the increase is very high this year the total cost per player is still much lower than any of the other leagues.
Forcing each corporate player to register both generates more revenue to pay for field permit, but also allows WAFC to get waivers from every player and collect the demographic information we need to apply for next season's permits with the county and city governments.
deadline for registration
Is the Corporate deadline the same as the other leagues (May 31)? Do we just have to have teams registered by then, or do all players also have to register themselves?
Same deadline but as long as
Same deadline but as long as a team has a reasonable number of players registered the individual players will be able to continue registering throughout the first part of the season. Assume "a reasonable number of players" means about 15 people with at least 4 women. Exceptions to this should be raised with the league commissioner.
Not appearing on the roster
I'm not sure if this has been asked before, but I created the team and payed the $25. However, many people who are also signed up for the team are telling me that I'm not appearing on the roster. I'm hoping that this is okay and that I am actually on the team. But I was just wondering if I need to create a seperate registration for myself. Thanks in advance.
The team registration
The team registration includes the captain (the person who submits and pays for the team spot in the league). Due to some technical issues the roster doesn't list that person at this point. You should NOT create an individual registration if you already paid for a team as your player fees are already paid.
playoffs
are there any more details about when the playoffs are gonna be and how long they are going to last?
individual corporate registration
I have a couple individuals who'd like to join our corporate team? Can they still do this? If so - how?
Yes... it seems the link is
Yes... it seems the link is gone now to register :p
Individual corporate player
Individual corporate player may still register through the store. Just click the registration fee link and you'll be prompted to complete the player registration form that allows you to select your team, etc.
