WAFC's 2010 Spring Clique League team registration is now closed! Player registration is still open and will remain open for about half the season. Please read the below instructions carefully to make sure your team and all players are registered correctly. This is the first time we're using a new registration process, so let us know if there are any problems, Contact form. You can also go here to view the reasons why WAFC is implementing these changes.
League Info
When: Saturdays from March 20th through May 8th, eight (8) games are planned.
Where: Around the DC area as fields are available.
Who: Teams must preform, register, and sign up at least 15 players, see below for more info. A league is most competitive, E is least competitive. B and C leagues are usually crowded, consider moving up or down if possible. The Commish may move your team to balance the leagues. A maximum of eighty (80) teams will be accepted, first come first serve.
Tournament: May 15th and June 6th, A and D; May 22nd and June 5th, B and E; June 5th and 6th, C. These dates are tentative and depend on weather and field availability. We make every effort to stick with these dates.
Follow these steps to create a team. Teams must have at least 15 players sign up. If you don't get 15 players your team will be automatically dropped. Maximum roster size is 25 players. Teams with less than 3 women will likely be dropped, at least 4 women is strongly encouraged because the league is 5-2 gender ratio; A and B divisions are offense dictates.

Common Problems/Questions
My team isn't listed in the drop down box. What do I do?
This means no one has registered the team. One of the captains needs to complete the team registration process (fill out the team form and pay $25 to open the team). Once this is completed the team should show up on the list. If you're sure the team registration process was completed and the team still isn't listed use the Contact form to let us know about the problem.
Why do I need to enter my first and last name? ---also--- Why were my first and last name wrong?
The website pulls your first and last name information from your profile, by default. If the fields were blank it means you didn't enter your name in your profile. If they were wrong it means you entered the wrong names in your profile. You can adjust your profile, including your first and last names, by editing your account information on wafc.org, user account.
I registered a team as the captain but I don't show up on the roster. Do I need to register as a player too?
No, captains are automatically included on the official roster even though they aren't shown on the website's roster report. Captains also count towards the 15 person minimum, so you need 14 players in addition to the captain (including at least 3 women) to make registration official.
How do I check the roster for a team?
Rosters can be reviewed by anyone. Visit http://www.wafc.org/clique_teams to see a list of teams. Click any team name to check the roster. Rosters do NOT include the captain but captains are listed on the list of teams page.
Wait, 4-3? 5-2 has been the norm in the past (for C League and below), unless the teams agree otherwise. Is it now a league rule that teams can't put more than 4 men out there unless the other team says it's OK?
Trust Ultimate players to test the extremes. I'll ping the commish about these questions and try to post a reply shortly. My experience is that in A and B the offense can force 4-3. I've never seen anyone try to force 3-4, 2-5, 1-6, or 0-7...but it would be sort of interesting.

Every time someone registers
Every time someone registers for a clique team it is appearing as a "recent post". Any way to disable clique registrations from doing this?
