DC United Game and WAFC Exhibition Event

Updates: wafc.org ticket sales close at 9pm, Friday July 17th. Tickets will be available for pickup at the tailgate party (Parking Lot 7). If you're attending the 4pm game (Washington Freedom women's team) email me using the Contact form to get your tickets ahead of time. If you're late, check will call for your tickets. We'll try to have some last minute tickets available for purchase at that stadium but don't count on it, buying your tickets on wafc.org is preferred. Tailgate starts at 6pm. A volunteer or two to help with tailgate logistics would be awesome, particularly help picking up kegs from Vienna Inn. Don't forget Twitter updates for last minute changes/coordination, http://twitter.com/dcdisc.
July 18, 2009, come with fellow WAFC players, friends, and family to see the DC United men's soccer team take on the Colorado Rapids at 8pm at RFK Stdium. Tickets are on sale in the Store for $25, which includes a pregame tailgate party beforehand at the stadium and a halftime exhibition Ultimate game featuring the D.C. club teams Truckstop and Scandal.
Families and friends are encouraged to come join in the fun, and please make sure you buy their tickets through the WAFC website. The tailgate party will start at approximately 6pm in Parking Lot 7 (click here to see map), and there is Washington Freedom (women's soccer) game immediately before the DC United game if you'd rather spend the afternoon watching soccer than tailgating.
Please buy your tickets soon, as we need to plan how many beverages to buy for the tailgate party. Also, please buy them through the WAFC website as we need to sell a minimum number of tickets for the game.

Update: Tickets are being distributed at the game, tailgate party or will call. We'll have a list of ticket purchases and tickets at the tailgater, any tickets that people don't claim at the tailgater we'll put at will call.

In which section are the seats? It looks like a Premium seating package with the Papa John's 4-pack (4 tix plus some stuff that doesn't matter) is only $92.00.

@ndchick1, good point, I'll change the announcement to be a little more descriptive.
Tickets are for the double header, so you could attend the Freedom game at 5pm and the United game at 8pm. Tickets also include free food (angling for pizza at this point) and beverages, including (good) beer, at the WAFC tailgate party before the Freedom game. And you'll get to sit with other crazy Ultimate players trying to compete the Screaming Eagles for fan supremacy.

Thanks for the link and promotion. We've toyed with the idea of bringing some RSD stuff onto the site but some of the posts are so offensive or combative we decided against highlighting it on wafc.org. We do pull in the RSD feed, which people can see at http://www.wafc.org/aggregator/sources, along with the most recent posts from The Huddle.

Will there be tickets available for puchase on the day of the game? Ideally, at the tailgate. Got a number of friends who won't be able to decide until Saturday.
