The www.wafc.org website runs on Drupal, www.drupal.org. Drupal is a content management system (CMS) based on PHP and is commonly run on a Linux-Apache-MySQL-PHP (LAMP) stack, which is the configuration we're using.
Drupal provides access to data stored in the MySQL database using queries executed by PHP code.
Drupal's PHP code consists of the core Drupal components and a wide variety of contributed (contrib) modules. Contrib modules are simply small PHP programs that provide some functionality that doesn't exist in Drupal's core PHP code. Generally, Drupal's core PHP code is more stable and reliable than contrib modules, however, many contrib modules are extremely well written and very useful, which is why we use them.

"Spirit of the Game: Ultimate relies upon a spirit of sportsmanship that places the responsibility for fair play on the player. Highly competitive play is encouraged, but never at the expense of mutual respect among competitors, adherence to the agreed upon rules, or the basic joy of play. Protection of these vital elements serves to eliminate unsportsmanlike conduct from the Ultimate field. Such actions as taunting opposing players, dangerous aggression, belligerent intimidation, intentional infractions, or other 'win-at-all-costs' behavior are contrary to the Spirit of the Game and must be avoided by all players."
