This section of the Design Document describes the high-level goals of the WAFC website. These goals will help focus the development and design of the site. Please add anything that you think is missing
- Broadcast information about WAFC-sponsored events such as leagues, tournaments, parties, and meetings
- Provide access via a web browser over a dial-up or faster connection
- Provide access via a mobile device such as a phone
- Provide access via alternate mediums such as syndication channels and SMS
- Allow WAFC members to pay for leagues and tournaments
- Allow WAFC-sponsored events to collect money from both WAFC members and non-members
- The site must provide the ability for people interested in Ultimate to participate / communicate with each other and develop an online community.
- Foster communication among members, leadership, and other Ultimate communities
- Facilitate group activities such as volunteering, tournaments, meetings, parties, games, practices, etc.
- The site must provide the ability for WAFC leaders to easily administer the league, players, and games.
- Allow members to register and pay for leagues
- Allow league leaders to manipulate registration and payment data (comma separated value files)
- Allow league leaders to create schedules
- Allow captains to report scores
- Allow members to view league standings
- Allow teams to plan attendance for games
- The site must provide important information to the WAFC community on games, leagues, tournaments, etc.
The site must promote growth of the organization and sport in the greater D.C. area. (Not a website goal, that's a club goal that the site only faciliates by being "good")
